OUR PROGRAMS

 

At Active Learners we have three 45 minute classes for 2.5-3.5, 3.5-4.5, 4.5-5.5 years old.



2.5-3.5 year old 



At this age, children have been walking for a few months and are starting to learn how to run, jump, and climb. In structured sports classes, they can learn these skills in a supportive and structured setting that encourages listening to instructions and following directions. Activities in these classes may include basic drills and exercises that focus on coordination, balance, and basic movements, such as throwing, kicking and catching. Additionally, structured sports classes provide opportunities for socialisation and teamwork, which help toddlers develop important social skills and build confidence in their abilities. Overall, structured sports classes for 2.5-3.5 year old toddlers are a great way to introduce children to the world of sports and physical activity, while also fostering important cognitive and social development.

3.5-4.5 year old 


Classes for 3.5-4.5 year old children continue to build on the skills developed, as well as introduce new and more complex physical activities. At this age, children are becoming more confident in their physical abilities and are able to follow more complex instructions. Structured sports classes for this age group may involve more advanced drills and exercises that focus on developing skills such as agility, coordination, and speed. For example, they may learn how to kick a ball with greater accuracy. In addition to physical skills, structured sports classes for 3.5-4.5 year old children also help develop important social skills such as teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. Overall, structured classes for 3.5-4.5 year old children provide a great opportunity for young children to continue developing their physical abilities, while also building important social and cognitive skills that will serve them well in all areas of their lives.

4.5-5.5 year old 

 

4.5-5.5 year old children continue to build on the skills and knowledge acquired in previous years, while also introducing more advanced concepts and techniques. At this age, children have developed more advanced motor skills, and are better able to follow instructions and focus on tasks. Structured sports classes for this age group may involve more advanced drills and exercises that focus on developing skills such as balance, strength, and endurance. For example, they may learn how to jump and land correctly. Additionally, structured sports classes for 4.5-5.5 year old children help develop important character traits such as perseverance, resilience, and sportsmanship. These classes provide a great opportunity for young children to develop a love for physical activity and sports.
